Under the Pradhan Mantri Kaushal Vikas Yojana (PMKVY) RPL 4.0 scheme, Hindustan Aeronautics Limited (HAL), Nasik successfully implemented a large-scale skill development initiative for its workforce during 2024–2025. In collaboration with the Aerospace and Aviation Sector Skill Council (AASSC) and the National Skill Development Corporation (NSDC), around 200 workmen were enrolled and trained in the trades of Aerospace Structural Fitter and Aerospace CNC Machinist. Experienced HAL executives, recognized and enrolled as Trainers by NSDC, delivered both classroom and on-the-job training. To date, 100 workmen have been assessed and 75 awarded “Certificate of Upskilling,” with assessment for the remaining 125 underway. HAL Nasik plans to train an additional 180 workmen under the scheme. The initiative has been well received by the workforce, and the continued support from NSDC has been instrumental in its success.
